About Us

Somapura Garment Tech will develop a textile strain sensor with ultra-high stretchability, sensitivity, and durability powered by IoT and Nanotechnology. The developed sensors will not only monitor subtle and large multidirectional motions but also will fit well to the human body with satisfactory comfort. The Company’s comprehensive IoT-based smart sensors and infant monitoring clothes will help monitor the baby’s breathing movement to reduce Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) cases by monitoring the stretch/release process caused by chest inhalation/expiration during breathing.

Our Vision

To seamlessly integrate wearable devices & technology for infant and adult care by offering best-in-class flexible textile-based strain sensors with the objective of improving lives.

Our Mission

To develop class-leading products that provide protection to infants and adults through IoT-based smart sensors that can be comfortably worn and sense a wide range of body strains.

Our Solution

Flexible Textile-Based Strain Sensors

The Company’s textile strain sensor continues to play a critical role in recording respiratory parameters by sensing subtle chest movements. These sensors have been optimized for seamless integration into smart shirts, allowing for continuous monitoring of respiration in patients with Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD). In the event of abnormal breathing patterns, the system is designed to alert the user, enabling timely contact with nearby healthcare providers for necessary evaluation. To ensure consistency and quality during production, all smart garments now include light internal stitching guides that mark the exact positions where sensors are to be integrated. These guides are discreetly printed or lightly stitched on the inner side of the fabric and remain invisible from the outside.

Smart Shirts

The Company has developed an effective solution to microbial issues in textiles. By using copper nanoparticles that enable the slow release of antimicrobial agents—specifically silver phosphate nanoparticles—long-lasting protection against bacterial growth is achieved. The use of a triple antimicrobial mechanism, which includes ZnO nanoparticles, enhances resistance even under high exposure to chlorine and seawater, making the garments suitable for various conditions. Additionally, the embedded Bluetooth module within the garments has been tuned and optimized to support a stable connection range of up to 10 meters, providing users with improved mobility and uninterrupted wireless monitoring within the home environment.

Smart Sensors

To enhance wearing comfort and sensor durability, the Company has optimized sensor performance through the use of a bio-adhesive, which effectively prevents the easy separation of conductive layers. This approach ensures stable sensor performance even with movement and regular washing. Moreover, the proposed manufacturing process is fully compatible with large-scale textile production, supporting the seamless integration of sensors into a wide range of garment types.

RF-Shielded Fabric Layer

To further enhance the performance and safety of its smart garments, Somapura Garment Tech has introduced a soft RF-shielded fabric layer into the electronic module compartments of both baby monitoring clothes and smart shirts. This feature uses Carbon-Embedded Polyester, a non-metallic, semi-conductive fabric engineered to absorb electromagnetic interference (EMI). It ensures signal stability without compromising the comfort, safety, or flexibility of the garment. This addition strengthens the reliability of wireless communication and enhances overall system performance in environments with high levels of digital interference.

Baby Monitoring
Clothes

The Company offers IoT- and nanotechnology-based baby monitoring garments equipped with flexible textile-based strain sensors that provide ultra-high stretchability, sensitivity, and durability. These garments allow for real-time monitoring of infants, alerting parents in cases of potential SIDS or breathing irregularities. The sensors are designed to attach easily to any clothing and are capable of monitoring breathing, heart rate, body movement, and sleep behavior. A companion mobile application functions as a dashboard, displaying the infant’s current physiological status, generating health reports, and delivering instant alert notifications to parents during emergencies.
